Mentoring at St. Albert’s College is conducted in three stages :
Stage I – Basic Level: Class Tutor himself acts as mentor. The Tutor takes an effort to understand each student in a deeper level. This is an occasion for him to review student’s studies, challenges the student faces and encourage in his accomplishments.
Stage – II Supportive Level: Above the basic level, in each department one or two members of the staff pay more attention to students who are in need of their psychological issues.
Stage – III Core level : For the entire college the mentoring and counseling process is guided by a mentoring cell – a core group consisting of a few members of the staff, who were trained in counseling programme. Mentoring is an inevitable part of University education today. Along with the intellectual growth, the student must acquire emotional maturity in his thoughts and deeds. Mentoring aims the total integration of the person.
